理化学研究所計算科学研究センター (RIKEN R-CCS）と高度情報科学
技術研究機構（RIST）は、共同でスーパーコンピュータ「富岳」および
Arm計算機システムの利用に関するセミナーを開催しています。

会場開催とオンライン開催のハイブリット開催です。会場での参加者
に向けて、AWSによるハンズオンを実施します。また、スーパー
コンピューター「富岳」の見学会も予定しています。オンラインの
ハンズオンは実施しません。

Accelerating HPC workloads with AWS Graviton and Virtual Fugaku applications

Speakers: Kei Sasaki (Amazon Web Services), Shun Utsui (Amazon Web Services)

Abstract: This tutorial demonstrates how you can run HPC workloads
on the cloud with AWS Graviton instances. Through a lecture and
hands-on lab, participants will gain understanding of HPC architectures
on AWS, available Arm-based instance types, and how RIKEN-CCS built a
virtual version of their on-premises software stack environment called
“Virtual Fugaku”. During the hands-on lab, attendees will have the
opportunity to run Virtual Fugaku applications on AWS-provided
accounts. Temporary AWS accounts will be provided for all participants.
Attendees need to bring a WiFi capable laptop with a modern browser
(Chrome, Firefox). Linux command line familiarity and basic scripting
abilities, such as bash/zsh are required for the hands-on portions of
this tutorial.
